Purposes and legal bases of processing
We process the data described below for the operation of our joint website and to fulfill contractual obligations to customers. In the case of inquiries from you outside of an active contractual relationship, we process the data for sales purposes. You can object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time. In order to be able to offer you our website and the associated services, we process personal data on the basis of the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR)
- for the fulfillment of contracts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR)
- on the basis of a balance of interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR)
- to fulfill a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR)
We will refer to the relevant terms in connection with the respective processing so that you can classify on which basis we process personal data. If personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent to us at any time with effect for the future.
If we process data on the basis of a balance of interests, you as the data subject have the right, taking into account the requirements of Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of personal data.
Your rights as a data subject
The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights as a data subject with regard to the processing of your personal data by the controllers:
You have the right to information about your personal data. For this purpose, you can contact one of the two responsible parties at any time for information.
In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing and cannot be securely verified in any other way, you must expect that the controller will ask questions to ensure that you are the person you claim to be.
Furthermore, you have a right to rectification or deletion or to restriction of processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to this.
Finally, you have a right to object to the processing within the framework of the statutory provisions. In particular, if you wish to assert a right to object to the processing of your data on the basis of a balance of interests, you must expect that we will subject this to a thorough examination. We have carefully carried out our balancing of interests here. Please note that in the event of an objection pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, we must check whether a “special situation” exists within the meaning of Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR. Finally, you also have a right to data portability. Here too, this is only granted within the framework of the statutory provisions.
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of personal data.
Deletion of data
We generally delete personal data when there is no need for further storage. A requirement may exist in particular if the data is still required in order to fulfill contractual services, to examine and grant or defend warranty and, if applicable, guarantee claims. In the case of statutory retention obligations, deletion will only be considered after the respective retention obligation has expired.
Data processing outside the European Union
Unless otherwise stated, your personal data is not processed by us in a so-called third country outside the European Union.
2. Data collection on this website
Cookies
The internet pages partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 para. 2 TDDDG. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyze your surfing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
The server log files are stored for a period of 8 days and are then automatically deleted.
Inquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your inquiry including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
We do not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, insofar as your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Consent Management
Consent with Borlabs Cookie
Our website uses the consent technology of Borlabs Cookie to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser or to the use of certain technologies and to document this in compliance with data protection regulations. The provider of this technology is Borlabs GmbH, Rübenkamp 32, 22305 Hamburg (hereinafter Borlabs).
When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are stored. This data will not be passed on to the provider of Borlabs Cookie.
According to the provider, this cookie has a storage period of up to 1 year.
The data collected will be stored until you request us to delete it or delete the Borlabs cookie yourself, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.
The Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via a contact form, your details from the form, including the contact details provided there (first name, last name, e-mail address and message text), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures), insofar as your inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, or on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.
This data will not be passed on without your consent.
The data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after the request has been processed).
Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods under commercial or tax law – remain unaffected.
